Stuart McCall has resigned as manager of Bradford.
I'm really quite surprised he's lasted this long, they've not performed anywhere near what a club of their size would expect and I'm amazed that their chairman has been so patient in this day in age where everyone seems to want instant gratification. The story on the BBC site suggests that he has just accepted that he's not the man to take Bradford forward. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...ty/8502899.stm |

I'd forgotten that happened last year. Presumably he felt at the time that he'd ran out of ideas and wasn't really sure how to take the club forward, to then be talked in to staying quite how his ideas would have changed is a hard one to work out.
Kudos to their board though for sticking by the manager, such a rare occurence in todays football world. |

...shame that he couldn't do a job for them....at least the club backed him and gave him every chance...something that is very rare these days...ask Mark Cooper....
